About The Event
“Who Wants to Live Forever?” asked Freddie Mercury. Everyone does. Humanity never reconciled itself with the idea of its finitude. The very first temptation in the Garden of Eden began with the assurance that “You Shall Not Die.” Nowadays, however, people not only desire immortality: we all seem to have completely forgotten that, no matter how hard we try, “forever” is a dimension that our material bodies cannot know–not without Revelation.
In this reading group, we will think more deeply about this “eternal” topic. Young and old together, we will meet at Stumberg Hall to rediscover the “Ars Moriendi” that Dr. Lydia Dugdale presents in her recent book “The Lost Art of Dying.”
The group is open to all. Prior registration is required. Book is provided.
