About The Event
About the leader of the Book Club:
Professor John Greil graduated cum laude from both Harvard Law School and the University of Notre Dame. Prior to transitioning into academia, he clerked for federal district judges Nathaniel Gorton (D. Mass.) and Paul Barbadoro (D. New Hamp.), as well as Judge Jennifer Walker Elrod of the United Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He specializes in the intersection of religion and the law.
About the Book:
In his book, Leisure, the Basis of Culture, Joseph Pieper makes the claim that the reconstruction of Western Culture demands a rebirth of the notion of leisure.
